About StarTex Power
StarTex Power has a history of being one of Texas’ fastest-growing electricity suppliers. But you won’t find that name much anymore. It was acquired by Constellation Energy in 2011, and since 2018, it has been known as Constellation. But it still focuses on providing competitively priced electricity products, including plans sourced from 100% renewable wind power, to homes and businesses across Texas, while at the same time providing timely, accurate, and proactive customer service.
Constellation takes pride in meeting customer needs with such services as online bill pay, payment options, its Community Champions Program, and more. There are no hidden fees or tricks in its energy plans, and it gets solid reviews.
There’s no disruption to your electricity service when you switch to Constellation Energy. You’ll continue to get your power from your local utility, whether it be AEP Texas Central, AEP Texas North, CenterPoint Energy, Oncor Electric Delivery, Sharyland Utilities, or Texas New Mexico Power (TNMP), and they’ll continue to provide maintenance and repairs.
Constellation is owned Exelon Energy. The StarTex name change didn’t change the company’s commitment to innovating in order to keep up with the rapidly changing energy marketplace in Texas, for instance developing price protection plans to protect Texas consumers against any possible rate spikes.
