Make the switch to deregulated energy
Energy deregulation is designed with the customer in mind. The Massachusetts deregulated energy system has an open market for retail electric suppliers to offer their best products and incentives at affordable prices. Retail suppliers also offer a range of electric choices when it comes to plans and contracts; for example, you could pick a fixed-rate 3-year plan that’s fully sourced from renewable energy. With deregulated energy, the options are endless. See the best electricity rates in your area by entering your ZIP code above.
Who provides my electricity?
One of the most common confusions within the Brockton deregulated energy system is who provides the electricity. To put it simply, retail suppliers provide energy to the local Brockton utilities, and the utilities deliver the electricity to your home or business. So, no matter which deregulated supplier you sign a contract with, your local utility will still deliver and maintain safe, reliable power for you, the customer.
How does switching work?

Once you’ve picked a supplier and signed up for a plan, your work is done. Your new supplier will communicate with your utility and make sure that there are no interruptions to your power during the switch. If you do experience an outage or other problem, call your utility – not your supplier.
